We provide architectural design and drafting in Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa, Clarington, Brock, Scugog and Uxbridge. We also provide service to the Greater Toronto Area and to the City of Kawartha Lakes. There is no charge for this meeting. Once we fully understand what your project is we can provide a quotation for our services and give you an indication of how long the work should take. We are very competitive in our pricing and pride ourselves in having the best project completion times in the business.
The more clearly that you can describe your project to us the better! Collect any existing drawings and surveys for the property that you may have. Sometimes the local building department will have existing drawings of your house (if you are renovating) and you may have a copy of your survey attached to the closing papers that you received when you bought your property. If you have neither of these don’t worry, we can assist in locating your survey and can always quickly measure and draft plans for your existing property and house. If you have a particular style or example of design in mind please provide any photos or drawings of this to give us an idea of what you are after. If you browse through our Portfolio of Projects you will see that we are experienced in many different styles and projects and will have no problem meeting your requirements.
If you are satisfied with our quotation and timing we will begin work! We will typically need to measure the existing house if renovating (new homes will skip this step) and then begin design. Once the design work is done we will arrange a design meeting to review what we have prepared. At that meeting the design will be explained to you using presentation drawings and 3D models (if requested). If there are any changes required they can be reviewed at a second design meeting or submitted by email for approval. Once the design is complete we will move on to preparing technical working drawings to provide you with the documents that you will need to apply for your building permits and to get quotations from contractors and builders. Most projects take approximately four weeks to complete but we make every effort to accommodate a rushed schedule.
When the working drawings are complete we can assist you in applying for your building permits and in construction management if needed. We can also recommend excellent contractors to complete your projects as well.

What services do you provide?
Typically we provide some or all of the following: consultation with clients, preliminary design, presentation drawings, 3D modelling, physical model construction if required, completed design, construction working/ permit drawings and permit applications if required. We also provide construction management for owner built projects and will arrange for all sub trade quotes and manage the flow of materials and trades on the construction project. How long do design and drawings take?
Each project is different depending on the complexity of design. However, most projects can be completed within four weeks. We will make every attempt to accommodate a rushed project if required.
How much do your services cost?
Each project is individual depending on their size, complexity detail and nature (whether new work or renovation) and each need to be assessed for cost separately. However, initial on- site consultation is always free where we can make an assessment of the work required and provide an accurate quotation for design and drawings. We are aggressively competitive in pricing and do our best to work with our clients to meet their budgets. Most potential clients are pleasantly surprised by our quotations given the quality of our work.
Do you offer any guarantees?
All of the work that we perform will meet or exceed applicable codes and by- laws. All projects that we undertake are guaranteed to receive a building permit if existing conditions will allow for one.
Do you have insurance?
Yes. We are fully covered for liability insurance.
Do you have a BCIN registration?
Yes. We are registered with a Building Code Information Number and are listed with the Ministry of Housing.
